Where Are They Now? Jean Claude Van Dam
Fans of the “Muscles from Brussels” will be delighted to know that Jean-Claude Van Damme has a full slate of pictures and projects coming up in the near future. In February 2011, writer Arash Derambarsh announced that he was working on a new biography of martial arts master. Britain’s ITV broadcast “Jean-Claude Van Damme: Behind Closed Doors,” an eight episode reality series that showed Van Damme as he prepared for his first kickboxing match since 1982. A follow-up series has been rumored but not formally announced. In the meantime, Van Damme can be heard as Master Croc in the animated blockbuster “Kung Fu Panda 2″ opposite Jack Black and Angelina Jolie. Later in the year, two Van Damme action pictures will be released, entitled “Dragon Eyes” and “Assassination Games.” In June, Jean-Claude finished filming “Universal Soldier: A New Dimension,” where he returns in his classic action role as Luc Deveraux opposite Dolph Lundgren. Although there has been no official announcement yet, Van Damme has been rumored to be part of the “Expendables 2″ cast, alongside action heroes such as Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis and Jet Li. The sequel is expected to hit theaters in summer 2012.
